The Lightsey Family Scholarship is only for students in the Houston East End areas of Austin High School, Milby High School, Caesar Chavez High School, East Early High School, Eastwood Academy, and YES Prep East End.  


The completed Application Packet must include:

  1.      Application Form (see below).
  2.      One page Essay stating why you are applying. (Provide any information you think might be helpful to the LFS committee in understanding your goals and your financial assistance needs.)
  3.         One Letter of Recommendation from school staff or a current/past employer.
  4.        High School Transcript including GPA.
  5.         A recent Photo of yourself (to assist the committee's recall).   
Submit all five requirements in ONE EMAIL with your First and Last name in the subject line to: LFS@lightseyfamilyscholarship.org

Your complete Application Packet must be received electronically by midnight, Sunday, April 13,2025 to be considered.
